Enhanced internet access service update

The introduction of the enhanced internet access service to College over the course of the past four months has resulted in an improved experience for most users in accessing external web resources.  The provision of this service has also enabled improvements in other areas, such as the current trial services for the connection of staff and postgraduate mobile devices to the College Wi-Fi network.

With the introduction of the enhanced service, and given the wide range of devices and configurations across College, IS Services has received a low number of reports of some issues with external internet access.  IS Services are actively working to resolve these issues, and to further improve the service.

Some of the most common questions surrounding internet access issues are answered on our FAQ webpage.  If you are experiencing any issues with external internet access that are not addressed on the FAQ webpage then please contact the IS Services Helpdesk to report the problem, and to help us better identify any outstanding issues.
