Mac OS X El Capitan (OS X 10.11) now supported on student TCDconnect service

We’re glad to announce that Mac OS X El Capitan (OS X 10.11) is now supported on the TCDconnect service for students.  Since the release of El Capitan on 30th September, IT Services has been evaluating and testing this new operating system to ensure it is compatible with Trinity’s IT infrastructure and systems for those using the student TCDconnect service.

Some issues have been noted for those using Outlook 2011 after upgrading. If you use Outlook 2011 then it is recommended you do not upgrade until a solution is available.

If you are using this operating system and experience any issues registering for the TCDconnect service or using other Trinity IT services, please contact the IT Service Desk.

Staff and postgraduates should note that El Capitan is still being evaluated and tested for those connected to the wired network in offices and labs and the staff Wi-Fi service, and so the advice for staff and postgrads in offices and labs is not to upgrade until evaluation and testing is complete.
